I am a Student Journalist from City University and I have been tasked
on my course with creating a 90 second video piece on news story on
Tuesday 11th of October.
I and my partner have decided to do a story regarding your Day of
Action on Thursday “Big Rip Off Day”:
http://www.ukuncut.org.uk/actions/697
We will place the story in the broader context of the financial crisis,
banking reform and government intervention lincluding QE. We may also
bring in the issue of activism and campaigning in an economic context.
We were hoping you could maybe provide us with someone from your
organisation who would be willing to film a short interview between the
hours of 12:30 and 4:00 on Tuesday 11th October. The interview should
take no more than 15-20 minutes.
If you think someone would be available during that time, could you
please let me know as soon as possible? If you want, I can send a
further email with the questions we would be likely to ask you?
Look forward to hearing from you – your input would be fantastic!
Yours sincerely,
Alex

I’m in Derby, Mr Derby Telegraph Writer, but unfortunately did not get your message until this afternoon. Did you manage to contact any of us? I was also involved in the Derby Uncut protest last Saturday which involved the brief occupation of Barclays Bank.

Sorry for the confusion. I did change the time to 1. In the end there were 5 people! 3 protesters and 2 reporters, bizarrely from a Norwegian newspaper!
I did a small little stunt. It’ll be on youtube very soon.
The idea was a good one, but it didn’t quite come off.
Most important is that it’s not about me. It’s about a social movement and that’s developing.
Thanks for your support and interest. Let’s meet at the next one. Will try to get down for the Occupy London stuff this weekend
